Only 1,500 people without power statewide, Alabama Power reports

Statewide, there are only about 1,500 customers without power. In Birmingham, there are 67, said Alabama Power spokesman Michael Sznajderman.


The brunt of the outages are in a stretch from Selma to Montgomery to Opelika, he said.
