The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Lovvorn of Talladega and the late Mr. and Mrs. B.V. Shirley of Pensacola, Fla.
Mr. Shirley is a graduate of the University of Alabama and is employed by The Southern Company in Birmingham.
The wedding is planned for January 19, 2013, at 5:30 p.m., at Smith Family Chapel in Austin, Texas.
