Alyson Tucker, spokeswoman for Alabama Power, said the outages are all weather and wind-related.
"A large portion of the outages is due to a broken pole in Coldwater," Tucker said.
According to Tucker, crews are currently out assessing the damage to the pole and do not yet have an estimation of when power will be restored.
Jonathan Gaddy, director of the Calhoun County EMA, said the agency has not received any reports of damage from Monday night's storm.
