A 16-year-old girl was allegedly touched in a sexual way Saturday while shopping at a store on McClellan Boulevard, Anniston police said.

Sgt. Chris Sparks said the Weaver girl was shopping between 7:55 p.m. and 8 p.m. at a store on the 5500 block of McClellan Boulevard when a man she didn’t know touched her inappropriately. Sparks said the victim told store employees and the suspect drove away in his car before police arrived. Police gathered enough information to identify the man, but had not spoken to him as of Monday, the sergeant said.

A suspect is likely to be charged with second-degree sexual abuse, a felony, according to a police report.
