A 69-year-old Anniston man told police Monday that his home was shot at over the weekend.

The victim called police to report that someone threw eggs at his home on the 1700 block of West 24th Street between 11:30 p.m. and midnight, according to Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks.

Later, the homeowner discovered a storm door had been shattered; police believe the damage was caused by a bullet, Sparks said. The door sustained $300 in damages, according to a police report. No one reported any injuries.

Sparks said the victim named suspects, but police had not made contact with them Tuesday morning. The incident was under investigation Tuesday.

Suspects could be charged with discharging a firearm into a building, a felony, according to a police report.
