The Anniston High School welding technology department recently competed in the District Skills USA welding competition held at Gadsden State Community College. Deshawn McKenzie competed in the ‘advanced level’ where he had to take a written test and perform five different welding processes. Dominique Williams and Quintarious Burton competed in the ‘first year level’ where they had to make vertical fillet welds. All three students finished in the top ten for the northeast district in Alabama.
