Anniston police investigate burglary

Anniston police today were investigating a burglary that took place on the 2100 block of McKleroy Avenue between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 8 p.m. Wednesday.

According to a police report, the suspect broke into the victim’s home through a window and took a baseball hat and several DVDs. A police report estimates the value of the items at $375.

Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks said the suspect has been identified as a person living in the area.

The victim said she will press charges once the suspect is identified, the sergeant said. The suspect will face charges of burglary in the third degree, a felony.
