Anniston police Capt. Allen George said the victim told police he had heard a noise coming from his living room on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday morning the victim told police he noticed a hole in his interior wall and another hole in his dining room window screen. George said on closer inspection the victim found a .45-caliber bullet lodged in his dining room wall.
The captain said only one round was fired and only one bullet was recovered from the victim’s home. The total cost of the damage was $215.
The victim told police he will press charges if the suspect is identified. There were no suspects Monday, George said.
Any suspects could face felony charges of discharging a firearm into a building, according to a police report.
