An Anniston woman was arrested Monday on charges that she stole $800 from an Anniston Jack’s in May.

Beth Pitts, 40, was arrested on felony charges of theft in the second degree, according to a police report.

According to Anniston police Capt. Allen George, Pitts was employed as assistant manager at the Jack’s on Quintard Avenue. George said the regional director of Jack’s gave investigators video surveillance footage that showed Pitts stealing money.

George said investigators tried to reach Pitts by phone but she never responded to their calls. Investigators obtained a warrant for her arrest and were given her address by Jack’s, the captain said.

Investigators arrested Pitts at her home on Pine Street Monday morning, George said.

Pitts was released from the Anniston City Jail on $7,500 bond Monday.
