Two people were shot at an Anniston service station this evening, and police are searching for suspects.

Two people were taken to Regional Medical Center just before 7 p.m. after being shot in the parking lot of the Shell service station on 18th Street and Quintard Avenue, said Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks.

Sparks said police are searching for the suspect or suspects.

Sparks had no information on the identities of the victims or their conditions at the hospital.

Sparks said the incident did not appear to be a robbery.

"It seems to be related to an incident that occurred in the parking lot and is unrelated to the business," Sparks said.

Police have cordoned off all entrances to the service station to examine the scene for evidence.
