Oxford bakery saying thanks in September

September is Customer Appreciation Month at Too Nice to Slice in Oxford.

Specials will be running all month long, and look for the bakery to unveil some new items, including a frequent customer request — donuts.

Plus, every Saturday in September, the bakery will be giving away a prize. Up for grabs this Saturday is a Too Nice to Slice 8-inch round dessert cake.

On Sept. 21 you could win a $50 Walmart gift card and on Sept. 28, a Too Nice to Slice two-tiered cake.

For a chance to win or to stay up to date on this month’s specials, visit Too Nice to Slice on Facebook.

For game day eats, think Garfrerick’s

The Oxford eatery’s special menu is available Saturdays from noon to 6 p.m. and includes:

• Three oven-baked chicken fingers and Cajun roasted potatoes — $9

• Slow-cooked pulled-pork ‘n’ beans — $9 a quart

• Chicken salad or pulled pork sandwich fixings — $15 a quart.

Quantities are limited so place orders at least one hour before pick-up by calling 256-831-0044.
