Elizabeth Claire DeShazer and John Daniel Leverton were married June 22, 2013, at St. Simon Peter Episcopal Church in Pell City. The Rev. Dr. Jonathan Waddell performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Kenny Lewis, organist, and David Lowe, violinist.

Parents of the bride are Dr. and Mrs. Robert Larkin DeShazer of Pell City.

Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Leverton of Pell City.

Grandparents of the bride are Charlene Smith DeShazer of Pell City and the late Larkin Porter DeShazer; the late Robert Atkins Goodner formerly of Birmingham and the late Ida Lambert Goodner, formerly of Alabaster.

Grandparents of the groom are Dan and Janelle Holloway of Anniston and John Benjamin Leverton of Pell City and the late Mary Nelle Leverton.

Bridesmaids were Taylor Black Neel, Claire Carpenter, Annalise Garing, Meredith Garing, Courtenay Hardy and Emily Russo. The junior bridesmaid was Gigi Goodner.

The maid of honor was Necia Mathews.

Groomsmen were Josh Hardy, Jimmy Smith, Joel Watson, Randy Hughes, Jonny Kentros and Tim Uptain.

The best man was the groom’s father.

Ushers were Daniel Goodner, Jason Whitehead, Collin Goodner, Ethan Goodner and Guy Walls.

The bride wore a lace gown with bateau neckline and matching lace appliquéd train. She carried a bouquet of white and blush roses, hydrangea with her maternal grandmother’s pin.

The reception was held at the Bukacek House in Riverside.

The couple resides in Birmingham.
