From the sounds of music filling the air of Zinn Park to the hundreds of smiling children who filled downtown streets the following day, the last weekend in October was a proud moment for Anniston.

I would like to thank the organizing committees for both the Marshall Tucker Band concert and Neewollah on Noble for their vision and determination to see the events through.

I would also like to thank the numerous volunteers and the city workers for their time and efforts to make both events successful.

And I would like to thank the countless sponsors, the city of Anniston, and the Spirit of Anniston for their financial donations to ensure these events were free to the public for all to enjoy.

These two days gave a small taste of what can be done when we all work together and brought true meaning to the slogan “One City One Vision.”
