According to warrants for his arrest, a 37-year-old Alexandria man came into sexual contact with three boys, ages 7 to 13.
The warrants say the alleged abuse occurred between Jan. 1, 2003 and July 31, 2011.
Sheriff Larry Amerson said the man was involved in school sports and a trusted friend to the victims and their families. During each instance, the suspect allegedly fondled the boys, Amerson said.
The suspect was arrested on two first-degree sexual abuse charges Nov. 1 and released on a $30,000 bond Nov. 4. The suspect was re-arrested Nov. 5 on another charge of first-degree sexual abuse, which is considered a Class-C felony. Suspects convicted of Class-C felonies can face jail sentences of two to 20 years.
The suspect was in the Calhoun County Jail Tuesday with a cash bond set at $100,000, according to jail workers.
He is to appear in court Dec. 9, according to court records.
