Regardless of anyone’s political (or college football) leanings, here's hoping everyone can appreciate what former United States President George W. Bush did for Alabama place-kicker Cade Foster.

Foster had a tough day in the Crimson Tide's 34-28 loss to Auburn, and he received plenty of less-than-friendly messages through social media. His teammates stuck by him. So has Bush, apparently.

On Wednesday, Foster posted on his Twitter account a picture of a letter he received from the country's 43rd president, who took time to write and notice that Foster wears No. 43.

“Dear Cade (#43), Life has its setbacks. I know! However you will be a stronger human with time. I wish you all the best – Sincerely – another 43 George Bush."

The note was dated Dec. 3, which was three days after the Iron Bowl.

Foster wrote as the caption: "Framing this."

Good for Cade Foster. Good for him.
