Anniston police Thursday were investigating at least two reports of breaking-and-entering involving vehicles.

Both of the incidents occurred on the 800 block of Sanota Drive sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. One vehicle, a 2002 Honda Accord, had a .25-caliber pistol and $650 in golf equipment stolen from it.

“It’s the same thing as usual, unlocked vehicles with items left in them,” Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks said.

The sergeant said that because the break-ins happened in the same location at around the same time, it’s likely the same suspects committed both crimes.

Those suspects could face felony charges of breaking-and-entering into a vehicle, according to a police report.
