NFL.com’s Gil Brandt is reporting Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron will not play in the Senior Bowl. The game will be Jan. 25 in McCarron’s hometown of Mobile.

McCarron said Friday he wasn’t ready to reveal whether he would play.

“I don't know if I'm going to play in it,” McCarron said. “I'm going to wait until after the bowl game to decide. Sit down and see what's best for me.”

McCarron's mother, Dee Dee Bonner, told AL.com her son hasn't made a decision.

Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley, punter Cody Mandell and wide receiver Kevin Norwood already have accepted Senior Bowl invitations.
