Updates for Alabama's 2014 National Signing Day

TUSCALOOSA -- Alabama already had eight players from its 2014 class enrolled in classes before National Signing Day kicked off. The Crimson Tide signed 19 more players on Wednesday to bring its total to 27.

Position: Running back/Athlete

Potential Impact: Scarbrough has the ability to play running back, wide receiver and H-back. Scarbrough said Tide coach Nick Saban will play him at running back.

Position: Outside linebacker

High School/Hometown: Auburn (Ala.)

Potential Impact: Evans is another player that could provide an instant boost to the Tide’s pass rush. He picked the Crimson Tide over Auburn.

Potential Impact: Clark has told reporters the Tide plan to start him at safety. He is built similar to former Tide great Mark Barron.

Position: Cornerback

Potential Impact: Coker is expected to transfer from Florida State to Alabama in May after graduating in three years. He didn’t sign a national letter of intent because per NCAA policy, transfers from one four-year institution to another do not sign a NLI.

Position: Defensive tackle

Potential Impact: While the Tide missed on target Matt Elam, Casher is considered to be more of a polished player at this point in their careers. Frazier could provide instant depth at nose tackle.

Potential Impact: One scout said Casher should definitely be a contributor on the interior of the offensive line and called him one of the nastiest blockers in this class.
