Nobody was injured in a minor wreck between an Anniston city school bus and a pickup truck this afternoon.

Anniston firefighters and police officers arrived at the scene within minutes after the crash, about 3:10 p.m. near the east side of the Quintard Avenue and 16th Street intersection.

Two children were on the bus at the time of the collision and, after a quick checkup by emergency personnel, were picked up and taken home by a family member.

The bus apparently struck the driver’s side of the truck, which was a silver Nissan Titan. The bus lost a right headlight in the crash while the truck’s left side was damaged.

Officers at the scene declined to share further details about the wreck.
