Anniston’s burgeoning Civil Rights and Heritage Trail received two paragraphs in the Alabama Department of Tourism’s new civil rights brochure. Two paragraphs. That’s it.

The critic in us wants to voice a bit of displeasure, but we understand: Today, Birmingham and Montgomery and the others have more to offer tourists wanting to experience the state’s past.

So don’t consider it a slight. Consider it appropriate. Next time, maybe a whole page?
