Anniston City Schools Superintendent Joan Frazier said electricity was restored at the school around 4 p.m. today after an Alabama Power crew fixed a transformer that malfunctioned Tuesday night.
Classes were cancelled Wednesday, but Frazier said the school will be “back to a normal schedule” for Thursday.
Frazier said she was unsure what caused the main transformer located behind the school to blow.
