Police are investigating an alleged robbery Tuesday evening at a drug store on the 1400 block of Quintard Avenue.

Anniston Sgt. Chris Sparks said a 70-year-old female victim was leaving the store Tuesday between 7:34 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. when a female suspect allegedly shoved her in the parking lot. The suspect fought with the victim for her purse, but a store manager intervened and the suspect fled, Sparks said.

A manager at CVS on Quintard Avenue said he could not speak about the incident. An employee at Rite Aid, also on that block of Quintard, said he know about such an incident.

Sparks said police still looking for the suspect and obtaining video surveillance from the store.
