The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Roy and Debbie Purvis of Alexander City and J.C. and Cat Bussey of Coldwater.
Miss Bussey is a graduate of Oxford High School. She is employed by Anniston Eye Clinic.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late William and Mary Clark and the late Frank and Teresa Portuese, all formerly of Chicago.
Mr. Portuese is a graduate of Trinity Christian Academy. He is employed by Honda Manufacturing of Alabama.
The wedding will be Aug. 4 at Jacksonville Alumni House.
