Ellen Hardy, a junior theatre major from Anniston, was named first runner-up to Miss Samford University 2013 on Oct. 19. Hardy is the daughter or Erna and Dr. Gordon Hardy. Her pageant platform was transforming lives with the arts. She gave a ballet performance during the talent competition.

Lauren Hunt of Dothan was crowned Miss Samford 2013.
