The Arts Council of the City of Weaver recently had a name change making it the Spirit of Weaver. The group had been meeting at Aletha Warren Young’s barbershop in downtown Weaver to organize all of the year's community activities. Due to the group's growth the meetings will now be held in the city council room.
The group held its largest Christmas parade Dec. 1 with Tim Buse as the parade director.
