Erin Hutchins, formerly of Anniston, was recently chosen as one of southwest Georgia’s ’40 under forty’ by The Albany Herald. The goal was to recognize 40 people under the age of 40 who are committed to shaping the region and making it a better place for everyone.

Hutchins is the program director for the Albany Area YMCA 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) program, where she is able to make a difference in the lives of 125 children and their families. She received her bachelor of arts in political science in May 2009 from Auburn University. She also graduated with her masters of public administration and nonprofit management from Auburn University in December 2011 and received a graduate certificate of nonprofit organization and community governance.

In November 2011, she committed to a year of service as an AmeriCorps VISTA at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Albany for the United Way of Southwest Georgia. She is the daughter of Carl and Joyce Hutchins.
