Taylor Horsley of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School was recently selected to attend the environmentalist/agribusiness interest group while attending the 74th annual American Legion Boys State. The environmentalist/agribusiness interest group focuses on ways to use green manufacturing practices and agricultural processes to develop solutions to environmental issues and create products for commercial distribution. The program includes sessions with Aime Institute at the University of Alabama, the Department of Engineering at UAB, and the Hero Housing Development and Community Program in Hale County. Horsley is the son of Dorothy Quarles and stepson of retired Col. Terry Quarles.
