Daughters of the Confederacy hold meeting

The Gen. John H. Forney United Daughters of the Confederacy Chapter in Jacksonville, held a meeting on August 10th in the Jacksonville Public Library.

The Jacksonville chapter invited anyone with a Confederate ancestor to meet and greet our chapter and join the Jacksonville chapter. 

Thanks to the Jacksonville Public Library for allowing us to meet and thanks for the refreshments. 

The Forney District of the UDC co-director, Sonja Randle and the Chapter President of the Anniston, Gen. William H. Forney Chapter, Helen Johnson also greeted the visitors.

The visitors, Linda Read and Toni Box and daughter Bella had a presentation from the Jacksonville Chapter President, Sharon Dasinger and Chapter Treasurer, Constance Sims and also from Sonja Randle and Helen Johnson.  

Local activities and chapter requirements were discussed. 

Our next meeting will be Sept.7 in the meeting room at the Jacksonville Public Library at 10 a.m. Anyone interested in joining the Jacksonville Chapter of the UDC is invited and welcomed to attend.
