David and Pam Fitzgerald of Oxford announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Fitzgerald, to Jeffrey Scott Harkins, son of Michael Laney of Forsythe, Ga., Melody Laney of Ohatchee and Bobby Harkins of Sylacauga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Alice Hollingsworth of Anniston and the late Eugene “Buck” Hollingsworth and Sara (Pat) Fitzgerald of Oxford and the late William “Bill” Fitzgerald.

Miss Fitzgerald is a 2004 graduate of Faith Christian School and a 2006 graduate of Gadsden State Community College. She is employed by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Harlan and Betty Mayall of Lineville and Doug and Irma Laney of Ohatchee.

Mr. Harkins is a 2003 graduate of Ohatchee High School. He is employed by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.

The wedding will be 2 p.m. June 15, 2013, at Eastaboga Baptist Church in Eastaboga.
