TUSCALOOSA -- No. 1 Alabama used its “straight to business” approach and pounded Tennessee 45-10 on a chilly Saturday in Bryant-Denny Stadium, giving the Crimson Tide seven straight wins in the series.

Main story:

Note to the college football world: Don’t trash talk Alabama before a game. It will find its way to Tuscaloosa, and the Crimson Tide will use it as motivation

Notebook:

Center Ryan Kelly returned to the starting lineup, Landon Collins makes another big play, Nick Saban's birthday plans, an injury update and more

Column:

Alabama coach Nick Saban had a lot of reasons to be happy following the game.

Analysis:

This wasn’t the year for the Alabama-Tennessee game to feel like a rivalry again. The Crimson Tide started this season at a much higher place and has made strides. For all of the strides Tennessee seemed to make in recent weeks, Alabama’s strides prevailed
