Over in the corner,
in the shadows,
did something move?
Get back under the covers.
We have nearly 500 ghost stories to read... tales of vengeful ghosts and black wolves, zombies and spooky houses, creepy cat ladies and haunted iPods. Quick! We have to pick the winners! Because that shadow in the corner... is it closer than it used to be?

The Judges
• This year’s Ghost Writers story winners were picked by Renee Morrison, the program coordinator for JSU Field Schools and an award-winning storyteller. She is the author of “Calico Ghosts,” a book of stories about the “mystical” Alabama farm she grew up on, where dogs talked and fairies danced.
• This year’s Ghost Writers video winners were picked by Alex McFry, a senior at White Plains High School who has won recognition in numerous film competitions, including a national student documentary film competition hosted by C-SPAN. He is also a previous Ghost Writers video winner.
Special Thanks
Thanks to Quintard Mall, AmStar 12 movie theater, Anniston Museum of Natural History and Berman Museum of World History for donating prizes for our winners.
