Just Desserts owner Laura Worthington had announced she would be closing in December, primarily to spend more time with her family. But she found a new owner much quicker than expected: Terri Edwards, who will open T's Unique Café, serving sandwiches, soups, desserts, etc.
Edwards will be serving her own menu, but will continue to offer Just Desserts' beloved chicken salad. "We did give her the chicken salad secret," said Worthington.
"We loved having our business," Worthington added. "Our customers were like extended family." Folks with unused Just Desserts gift certificates can call Worthington at 452-1862.
T's Unique Café is at 3320 Henry Road in Anniston.
