Robert Bentley was designed to make Bentley aware of Goodyear's importance to Etowah County's economy and ensure he understands the tiremaker's history in Gadsden, including the last expansion when it invested $125 million in modernizing the plant.

“We want to make sure we're on the governor's radar,” Galliher said. “If the governor does something in the future that deals with economic development, we want to make sure that Etowah County is on his mind.”
