Guns are not contemptible, people are — particularly the “do-gooders” who wish to bury their heads in he sand and expect others to do the same. He who wishes to control the people, and ultimately the world, must control the guns. Surprisingly, President Obama comes to mind.
Gun control is, and should be, a states-rights issue, not a federal government issue, except from the standpoint of national interests against a foreign adversary, not internal or domestic.
