Bicycling magazine has kind words for Calhoun County's Coldwater Mountain trails. A recent article notes Coldwater is "a wonderful place to ride."

The article has praise for the trails at Oak Mountain State Park near Birmingham.

The headline asks, Is Birmingham the Next Moab?, which is a reference to the mountain biking mecca in Utah.

Not to get all provincial, but we'd quibble slightly with the use of "Birmingham" in the headline. Still, we can expect this sort of publicity in the years to come.
