Here are two takes with your time related to the George Zimmerman-Trayvon Martin case.

William Saletan writes in Slate, that Zimmerman was "a reckless fool instead of a murderer."

He concludes, "If you want to prevent the next Trayvon Martin tragedy, learn from their mistakes. Don’t paint the world in black and white. Don’t declare the whole justice system racist, or blame every gun death on guns, or confuse acquittal with vindication. And the next time you see somebody who looks like a punk or a pervert, hold your fire."

Charles M. Blow, writing in The New York Times, notes, "This case is not about an extraordinary death of an extraordinary person. Unfortunately, in America, people are lost to gun violence every day. Many of them look like Martin and have parents who presumably grieve for them. This case is about extraordinary inequality in the presumption of innocence and the application of justice: why was Martin deemed suspicious and why was his killer allowed to go home?"
