Personalities come and go with the wind, but only a few make a real difference in the lives of others. Millie Harris has the drive and dedication to do just that.

She has been a leader in education dating back to 2001 when she was chosen as teacher of the year for the Department of Defense Schools representing 25,000 teachers worldwide. Also a leader in our community, she is the president of SAVE, an organization committed to helping animals in need from Calhoun County get spayed and neutered. It takes courage for a woman to “step up to bat,” and something happens as a result.

Vote for Millie again on Oct. 9 for City Council Ward 4. Your vote is important for the future of Anniston.
