The Anniston Fitness Center has been serving local residents for three decades — literally around the clock. The gym offers access to its equipment 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

General manager Wynicka Hendrix-Palmer boasts that the center’s atmosphere is what keeps members coming back.

“I truly believe when you offer an environment where people feel comfortable, where they feel warm, a clean environment, it makes a difference,” Hendrix-Palmer said.

The gym offers a variety of classes, including zumba (of course). There’s also a 6:30 a.m. abdominals class taught by the center’s 74-year-old owner, Tom Buzan, as well as Hendrix-Palmer’s own “Insanity” class.

Every member is given three free sessions with one of the center’s certified personal trainers.

The center also offers childcare while members work out.

Hendrix-Palmer was pleased to know the center was so highly rated by its members, but not surprised.

“The best advertising we have is our customers,” she said.
