A state lawmaker from Gardendale said he has been cooperating with a federal probe into alleged vote buying since the spring of last year, and some lawmakers predicted as they left the grand jury proceedings Wednesday that the investigation would lead to indictments.
State Sen. Scott Beason, R-Gardendale, said Wednesday that he went to the FBI in the spring of 2009 and shared with agents that he had a conversation with a lobbyist that he felt was inappropriate.
