With Anniston’s Ward 2 and Ward 4 City Council seats still up for grabs, The Anniston Star is giving residents an opportunity to quiz the candidates online before the Oct. 9 run-off election.

The Star will host a series of four live chats with the candidates beginning on today at noon. Each chat will last about an hour.

“We are excited to host these online live chats,” said Bob Davis, the newspaper’s associate publisher. “In our view, these digital forums allow voters to directly ask questions of the candidates, and for the candidates to respond.”

Anyone interested in taking part can access the chats at http://annistonstar.com/livechat according to the schedule. The chats will also be available for viewing through the election on Oct. 9.

Beginning today, questions can be submitted at annistonstar.com/livechat by clicking on the name of the candidate.

Live-chat schedule:
  • Millie Harris, Ward 4 candidate, today

  • David Reddick, Ward 2 candidate, Sept. 26

  • Sheffton Goodson, Ward 2 candidate, Oct. 3

  • Marcus Dunn, Ward 4 candidate, Oct. 4

All chats will begin at noon.
