MONTGOMERY (AP) — Authorities say they have arrested a man accused of giving false information to investigators looking for the man charged with killing three people and wounding three more at a party near Auburn University.

Montgomery police say 41-year-old Gabriel Thomas is charged with hindering prosecution. He was arrested late Sunday.

Investigators say Thomas had contact with 22-year-old Desmonte Leonard and then provided false information to officers looking for the man.

Leonard is charged with capital murder in Saturday night's shooting at an apartment complex in Auburn. Two former Auburn football players are among the dead.

Montgomery police Sgt. Regina Duckett says the search is concentrated in Montgomery, where Leonard is last known to have lived. Authorities are offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
