Anniston police arrested a Gadsden man Wednesday on charges that he threatened to shoot his co-workers last month.

On March 12, Gregory Scott Vice, 47, reportedly threatened to bring a gun to the company he works for, according to Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks.

The business is on the 800 block of Ware Street. Calhoun County property tax records list Huron Valley Steel Corp. at that address.

Attempts to reach a representative from Huron Valley Steel Thursday were unsuccessful.

Vice made threats over the phone to shoot his coworkers, Sparks said, and employees at the business called police.

“It’s a fairly secure facility, but they took preventative steps,” Sparks said,

Sparks said a police investigation led to a warrant being filed on March 26 and Vice was charged with making a terrorist threat, a felony, on Wednesday.

Vice was released from the Anniston City Jail Wednesday on a $5,000 bond. A court date is set for April 29.
