Hi, I’m Chloe. In 2005, at Anniston, Alabama, I was two years old, and I had a nanny named Marcella. She was in her 70’s, so we called her Nana. One day, she tucked my brother, John, and me in bed for a nap. Later she took a nap on our couch. My parents came home, and they couldn’t get her awake. They called someone to do CPR and did it on her in our house. They told us she was dead.

A few weeks later, there was a voice that talked to me at night. It would always whisper, “Come play, with me,” in a whispering, spooky, singing voice. It freaked me out! My parents told me it was probably Marcella’s ghost, and that made me even more scared! It would also tap me on the shoulder sometimes, and I would cry so hard I couldn’t speak!

One night, when I was four years old, nothing happened. That was the night “Marcella the Ghost” left me. I don’t know if she went to someone else or if she vanished, but either way, she was gone forever. To this day, I still can hear her spooky, but soothing voice.
