The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nash of Birmingham and the late Mr. and Mrs. (Elida) Jake B. Mathews, formerly of Talladega.
Miss Mathews is a graduate of Cleburne County High School. She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in nutrition from the University of Alabama, where she also received a master of science degree in nutrition. While at the University of Alabama, Virginia was a founding member of the Tau chapter of Alpha Delta Chi sorority. Virginia is a registered dietitian with Morrison Management Specialists at the Columbus (Georgia) Regional Hospital.
Pattrick is a Captain in the Army National Guard stationed at Fort Benning. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. Capt. Ladner also earned a master of engineering degree in construction management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
The wedding will be 2 p.m. Dec.15, 2012, at Parker Memorial Baptist Church.
