Lanett beat Westbrook Christian in the regional semifinals 55-41 at Jacksonville State, setting up a fourth meeting with Lafayette. The two teams will face off Thursday at 4:45 p.m. Lanett won the first three meetings.
“They’re a good team,” Lanett coach Richard Carter said. “It'll be tough.”
Against Westbrook Christian, Lannet led 23-20 at halftime and steadily increased the advantage in the second half. Orendaz Holloway, a 6-foot-8 junior center, led the Panthers (25-5) with 16 points, six rebounds and two blocks. Mandell Ray added 10 points and nien rebounds.
Westbrook Christian (26-5) got 12 points each from Colin Edwards and Alex Perkins. Edwards added nine rebounds.
