Anniston Star - New deli open in Jacksonville

Momma Goldberg’s Deli, Alabama’s legendary sandwich shop, has opened a location on Mountain Street in Jacksonville, across from Jacksonville State’s stadium. The shop, which began as one restaurant in Auburn more than 30 years ago, has become renowned for its sandwich Momma’s Love (roast beef, ham, smoked turkey, muenster cheese, lettuce, tomato, mustard, mayo and Momma’s Dressing on a seeded hoagie bun) and nachos (Doritos smothered in pepperjack cheese). Momma Goldberg’s is open for lunch and dinner 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and 10 a.m.-midnight Thursday-Saturday.
