No one was injured during a mobile home fire this morning on Leyden Street, local firefighters said.

The Anniston Fire Department was called to a home at 1426 Leyden Street at 7:55 a.m., according to a report emailed by Assistant Chief Rick Sensenbach.

A woman was home during the blaze, but was outside the residence when firefighters arrived, the report said.

Flames were discovered in a bedroom and bathroom and were extinguished by five trucks dispatched to the scene. Firefighters cut power to the trailer and a fan was used to remove smoke from the home, the report said.

“The fire started in a shared wall between the bedroom and bathroom behind the gas heater,” the release stated.

The fire was ruled an accident by investigators, the email said.
