“Trust and Obey” was the title of Brother Tracy Mayfield’s morning message taken from Acts 5:29. Soldiers obey the orders they are given. Even in the face of gunfire and possible death they do this to preserve our freedom. Our Savior obeyed what His Father asked Him to do. It costs something for freedom. Don’t forget who we are supposed to trust and obey! What does it mean to obey? O-offer our praise to God. To quote Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty, “Praise and pattern you life after the Almighty.” When we praise God, we thank Him for all His many blessings. B-believe in His promises. God upholds every promise that He makes to us. E-enjoy the peace that God gives. So many people are looking for peace. There’s an inner peace that comes from God. Y-yield to God’s purpose in your life. Use all of your capabilities for God. In everything that we do, we should find a way to serve others. To obey God, we must surrender to God. Exchange our desires for His desires. Allow his will to be your Will. Our way has to be His way.
Our Sunday evening services throughout June will be devoted to planning and preparation for Vacation Bible School. We will hold VBS the last week of June. We hope you will plan to send your children to experience the Colossal Coaster!
