Two Anniston men face multiple drug charges after the Calhoun-Cleburne Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force found illegal drugs and weapons at their residence.

After two months of investigating the case, the task force late last week obtained a search warrant for a house at 1410 Marguerite Ave. in eastern Anniston.

During a search of the home on Feb. 17, task force members confiscated 1.5 pounds of marijuana, several assault rifles, crack cocaine, Oxycontin and methadone pills.

Lemarius Jackson and Michael Boone each were arrested on four felony drug possession charges -– one charge for each of the drugs found in the house, said Capt. Chris Roberson, commander of the task force.

Jackson and Boone, whose ages were unavailable Tuesday, also were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

Both suspects were taken into custody after the task force’s search on Feb. 17, but by Tuesday they had bonded out of the Calhoun County Jail.

Bond information was not available Tuesday.
