Prep volleyball: White Plains sweeps Saks at home

Taylor Snellgrove had 10 kills and four blocks as White Plains beat Saks at home 25-20, 25-20, 25-21 on Thursday night.

Anna Katherine Dothard added seven kills and five blocks, while Rachel Snider had 24 assists, three kills and four blocks. Haley Helms contributed 12 digs.

White Plains (14-5) will play at the Valley Cub Round Robin this weekend.

Faith Christian 3, Wadley 0 – Kirstyn Cotton had 12 aces, and Abby Emerson contributed 24 assists as Faith Christian won at home 25-10, 25-8, 25-15.

Faith Christian (7-11) will host Jacksonville Christian Academy on Monday.

Piedmont 3, Weaver 0 – Piedmont scored a sweep over Weaver 25-6, 25-18, 25-12.

Carlie Flowers had nine kills for the Bulldogs, and Keshauna Jones served 11 aces. Mallory Roberts pitched in 11 assists.

Clay-Chalkville 3, Oxford 1 – The Yellow Jackets fell on the road 25-13, 25-21, 17-25, 25-23.

Lexie Higgins paced Oxford with 15 kills, six digs and two blocks. Mackenzie Trantham added nine kills. Katie Skinner had 16 assists.

Oxford (9-6) will play in the Hewitt-Trussville Husky Challenge on Saturday.

Donoho 3, Sacred Heart 0 – Corey Phillis had seven kills, three aces and five digs as Donoho won 25-11, 25-17, 25-12 in a Class 1A, Area 6 match.

Rylee Segrest added 27 assists, two aces and five digs. Hannah Christian contributed six kills and four blocks.

Donoho (17-3) will play Saturday at Alexandria.
